What a great weekend!

The weather was so nice this weekend. Couldn't have had better weather for a three day weekend. The whole neighborhood came out of hiding. For five or so months out of the year, we only really see our neighbors as we are each coming in or out of our houses. But, Sunday was like a little block party. All the parents were standing on the sidewalk talking while all the kids were riding their bikes and playing ball. Ethan is getting to be such a big boy. It really won't be long before he's playing with the big kids. He learned how to catch a football this weekend with Daddy. Josh threw it to him from about 10 or so feet away and Ethan actually tracked the ball and reached for it to pull it into his chest. He was very proud of himself. He also got a big kick out of our 10 year old neighbor's nerf dart guns. They shoot these little foam darts. Here come the big boy toys. Monday, we went over to Nana and Papa Long's for a "Dirty Day". We had a huge burn pile to burn our Christmas tree and other yard debris. It was Jacob's first time to REALLY get dirty. He loved being able to run around outside and he actually did really well on the uneven ground. When he did fall, he would just get back up and keep on truckin.
